This time of being locked down has given me the opportunity to start on a project which has been on my mind for a while:
DARK CLOUDS
I am seeing clouds on the horizon, above me, behind me. Dark clouds. Heavy, ominous. Not the hopeful ones, the heroic after-the-storm kind. The ones that are beyond knowing what they are holding. And then I see cities. Black silhouettes against the clouds. Man made.
This is work in progress. Film based, all toned silver gelatin prints. The blue cloud is a cyanotype. The panorama is the sketch for a mural sized print which hopefully I will get to make sometime this year.
The three small prints are one of a kind objects, stages in a box frame. With an object placed mounted hovering above the print. Depth adds another dimension.
